James and The Giant Peach Daydream Contest

This is my first piece I've ever submitted to a web-contest.

I went for the "anything-goes-fantasy-adventure" look. Hence the reason the boy in this pic has just the helmut, gloves and no space suit; because this is the way he always imagines soaring through space in his daydreams.

Here, he and a misfit crew of moon-rabbits (yep, Moon-Rabbits) goes fishing for shooting-star fish, while aboard a "moon-rockit" ship; a spaceship inside a chunk of rock from the moon's surface itself.

Along for the trip is a frustrated robot, a hitchhiker Martian and THE constellation of Orion (who apparently loves to fish too).

Yeah, I tried to go as far out as I could.

Very cool. :) When I first saw this it reminded me of James and the Giant Peach...then I looked down and saw the James and The Giant Peach Daydream Contest thing and I felt like an idiot. lol

haha, that's pretty awesome.

You should make a kid's book out of this idea! You'd make a lot more than a possible 800$ first place that's for sure. ^-^

Love the constellation-man. Really cute idea.
